The latest roots/Lord of the Rings/earthy themed pipe. The name comes from the thorny wreath around the rim, and from the shape of the bottom of the pipe. The owner wanted a battered, worn look, with a shield ensnared by roots. The emblem on the shield is of the owner’s design, and is actually modeled after the way J.R.R. Tolkien would sign his name. This churchwarden pipe is around ten inches long, and has a polished carnuba wax finish.
